Campaigns Lead

Location: Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi

The Campaigns Lead(s) will be responsible for leading a 25 person team with team leads of passionate and talented staff from across the organization and from partner organizations across the country to create dynamic and effective marketing and advocacy campaigns. This role will manage the day-to-day of programs that include robust communications, digital, research and policy, and media plans and be responsible for managing budgets, a variety of vendors, and creating full-scale plans for campaign design, management, and execution.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Develop, manage, and execute large-scale marketing and advocacy campaign plans.

  • Design and manage budgets to accomplish the goals of the campaign.

  • Lead a strategic team of communications, research, and digital staff each with an experienced team lead.

  • Work closely with existing campaign partners, while developing new relationships to build robust, multi-faceted campaigns.

  • Oversee rapid-response efforts as necessary in any component of the campaign or the campaign overall.

  • Manage vendors across national and state programs.

  • Lead the organization in designing professional and consistent reporting on program progress and successes with an eye towards desired impact.

  • Manage and effectively promote staff development and feedback, coaching, and performance evaluation to help others reach their full potential.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who bring:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of managing large scale national or state level campaigns comprising political campaigning, digital marketing, advertising.

  • You have experience managing diverse teams with people from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • You have experience incorporating the perspectives of multiple teams, in considering the impact and outcomes of decision-making.

  • You are an excellent verbal and written communicator and have the ability to present to diverse audiences.

  • You have a talent for working with partner organizations and forming meaningful organizational collaboration.

  • You have several years of experience developing teams and managing people and you are a talented leader who has a proven track record of building consensus.

  • You are committed to developing strategic plans that work--and orienting numerous people and tactics around achieving goals.

  • You have a passion for trying new and innovative tactics alongside traditional approaches.

  • You have managed large and complicated budgets and achieved outcomes within budgetary constraints.

Research Managers

Location: Mumbai, Bhubaneshwar, Delhi

About the role:

The Research Manager(s) will assume critical responsibility for managing research  and strategy. Managers will oversee a research team comprising senior associates and associates. They will oversee high quality quantitative and qualitative action research to help execute organization’s plans into operations. Research Managers will have autonomy but will also be held accountable to agreed goals that they will set for themselves in consultation with the Leadership Team and other colleagues. The position includes on field travel.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Design and manage high-impact research: This will include mixed methods based primary research, secondary data based exhaustive reviews, action research, or a combination depending on the need.

  • Build, lead and guide research team: Ensuring the highest standards of action research quality and ethics, overseeing and mentoring teams (3-6 senior associates/associates, and field operations), ensuring a safe and enabling atmosphere for colleagues, and keeping within project budgets.

  • Project management: Managers will lead all elements of research and evaluation and advisory projects, including evaluation design, project management, oversight of analytical processes, and construction of high-quality communication materials, including policy briefs, technical reports, and presentation materials. Managers must be able to develop a deep and nuanced understanding of how econometric, data, and field experiment tools can be tailored to client needs.

Qualifications:

We are looking for individuals who bring:

  • Experience of at least 5 years using data and evidence for political/social research ideally in India;

  • A master's degree, preferably in public policy, economics, public administration, business, or public health.

  • Fluency in the role of data and evidence tools – such as survey design, questionnaire building, impact evaluations, representative surveys, monitoring systems.

  • Willingness to travel as needed and to work with remote colleagues.

Content Lead

Location: Mumbai

About the role:  

The Content Lead / Editor will work directly under the Campaigns Director and be supported by the Leadership team, and will assume critical responsibility for driving content pieces of the project in Maharashtra. She/he will build high quality implementation teams to help execute content plans into operations working with other teams. The Editor will also be given a small budget, required tools and licenses, allocated exclusively for content development. They will have autonomy but will also be held accountable to agreed goals that they will set for themselves in consultation with the Campaigns Director and the Leadership Team and other colleagues.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the content hub like a newsroom by leading the content strategies and editorial decisions that he formulates along with the Directors of research, digital media, and field operations.

  • Lead and inspire the development of first-class content by the content department personnel along with other production means inclusive of videos, infographics, blogs, and data visualization in order to ensure optimal delivery of content to target audiences across multiple channels.

  • Designing and implementing measurement systems that actively measure, manage, optimize and communicate the performance of the content.

  • Offering strategic counsel to the party’s content planning, development, as well as overall strategies for key events 

  • Oversees all the content put out by the party to the media through, direct mail, email, interviews, collateral, speeches, recorded messages, newsletters and so forth.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, with a work experience of at least 6 years. 

  • Experience in the management of a newsroom team, leading that team to successful accomplishment of its goals. 

  • Have a deep understanding and knowledge of the political landscape of Maharashtra and is  up-to-date with political trends and burning issues of the state

  • Language: Marathi

Content/Script Writer

Location: Mumbai

About the role: 
As a Script Writer you will be working on dedicated projects right from conceptualization and creating scripts to bring alive the key message. The scripts and messaging should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into moving media. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize scripts which can be translated into good story telling videos

  • Come up with eye catching phrases and headiness that are memorable

  • Will develop story elements to translate the creative vision into stories for production, with a deep understanding of the storyline and target audience. 

  • Will review the work to ensure it meets required editorial standards and will also ensure regulatory requirements are adhered to, and the local needs of the primary audience met.

  • Will be expected to work under pressure to manage edits within a short time frame. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • The Scriptwriter/Writer will have atleast 5-7 years of experience in content writing ideally from a media/news team background  

  • Should be able to read, write and speak in Marathi and understand any local language nuances of the Maharashtra state

  • Should also have a basic understanding on how to translate scripts to various visual media, write the narrative script describing in detail the plot, characters, environment, moods and dialogues.

  • Should possess strong grammar and writing capability and should be creative, patient and motivated at work.

Video Editor

Location: Mumbai

About the role: 
As a Video Editor you will be working on dedicated projects right from conceptualization and creating videos to bring alive the key message. Video Editor should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into moving media. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements and prepare rough drafts and present ideas

  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each video

  • Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final video

  • Test videos across various media

Required Qualifications: 

  • 4-6 years of work experience as a Video Editor 

  • Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut and audio editing software)

  • Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio

  • Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity

  • Creative mind and storytelling skills

  • Have some experience in video production for capturing relevant live activities, if needed 

  • BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field

Graphic Designer

Location: Mumbai

About the role: 
As a Graphic Designer you will be working on dedicated projects right from conceptualization and creating graphics including illustrations to bring alive the key message. Designers should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize visuals based on requirements

  • Prepare rough drafts and present ideas

  • Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand sketches

  • Use the appropriate colors and layouts for each graphic

  • Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design

  • Test graphics across various media

  • Amend designs after feedback

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proven graphic designing experience of atleast 2-4 years

  • A strong portfolio of understanding brand elements, coloraturas combinations, images, illustrations or other graphics

  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as CoraDraw X4 or above, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines and collaborate with team.

  • Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus

Parliamentary Constituency Manager

Location: Mumbai

About the role: 
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to manage a team for executing political campaign operations at parliamentary constituency level. The right candidate will have to draft political reports that will further develop and implement campaign strategy. In order to get things done, you will also serve as a link between the on-ground and the central office team. Our ideal candidate should have  political acumen with understanding of local Maharashtrian culture, geography, and political landscape, exceptional oral and written communication skills, and an effective team manager. 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Detect and draft the socio-political pulse of different legislative units through a series of rigorous on-ground and digital research initiatives

  • Liaise with political stakeholders to seek support, execute campaigns & develop networks on ground

  • Coordinate with various internal teams to plan, conceptualize, and execute high impact end-to-end campaigns by managing a team at Parliamentary constituency level

  • Stay up-to-date with political trends and burning issues

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors / Masters or equivalent degree in management, public administration social sciences, mass communications, law, etc. from a premier institute

  • 2 – 4 years of work experience in managing a team at top organizations

  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools for drafting reports and creating  presentations

  • Have good interpersonal skills and exposure in dealing with various kinds of stakeholders 

  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate raw information into actionable political strategies 

  • Willingness to travel to the assigned PC as needed to work with remote colleagues.

  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment and be a good team-player

  • Language: Marathi (Preferably)

Assembly Constituency Manager

Location: Maharashtra

About the role: 
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to manage political campaign operations at assembly constituency level. The right candidate will have to study and gather political insights by doing on-ground primary research and building a digital network. Our ideal candidate should have  political acumen with understanding of local Maharashtrian culture, political landscape and exceptional oral and written communication skills.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Detect and draft the socio-political pulse of a legislative unit through a series of rigorous on-ground research

  • Conduct bi-monthly sample surveys in discussion with the central team

  • Liaise with political stakeholders to seek support and execute state campaigns

  • Develop Digital Network at assembly constituency level. (Facebook and Whatsapp)

  • Stay up-to-date with political trends and burning issues of the assembly constituency

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelors / Masters or equivalent degree in social sciences, mass communications, law, etc. from a premier institute

  • 1-3 years of work experience in field research work that would require you to travel through the assembly constituency

  • Proficiency in the use of Facebook, Whatsapp and MS Office tools for drafting reports

  • Have good interpersonal skills and exposure in dealing with various kinds of stakeholders 

  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to translate raw information into actionable political strategies

The Political research and insights associate is designed for highly qualified and motivated individuals from backgrounds such as law, economics, public policy, governance, mass communications, development, and social impact. To be competitive, candidates need to have understanding of local Maharashtrian culture, geography, and political landscape, policy research and exceptional oral and written communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Detect the socio-political pulse of various legislative units through digital &  telephonic sources

  • Create publications for political communication, reports, presentations, and policy documents that summarize and synthesize information based on rigorous primary and secondary research

  • Conceptualize and conduct landscape studies and analyze data from various sources to drive the overall campaign strategy and narrative

  • Track government policy announcements and significant legislative/political events on a regular basis to provide periodic updates to internal and external stakeholders

  • Stay up-to-date with political trends and burning issues

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Public policy/ Economics/Social sciences/ Mass communication or equivalent degree from premier institutes preferred

  • Should have 1-3  years of experience working in, Public policy consulting, Law firm, think tanks or research roles

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office tools for the creation of analyses, reports and presentations

  • Proficient in policy research, contextualize intersectional policy matters from a political standpoint, and tools to produce deliverables with tight deadlines

  • Language: Marathi (desirable) & English (required)
